Description: Amrita finds inspiration in one of the many names attributed to, and in the iconography of, the deity Shiva as NEELAKANTA.
All must be familiar with the belief that Lord Shiva, swallowing poison churned from the ocean by the Devas and the Asuras, saves the universe from destruction. The poison leaves his throat stained with blue, from whence arose the name, the Blue-Throated One.
